Looking for GREAT Vacation Ideas?

If you are looking for exciting Vacation Ideas, the  Great Vacations travel guide is a personal collection of travel experiences and travel adventures initially inspired by my incredible childhood travels in Europe with my family.

My travels left me with fantastic memories, such as the full moon glowing beside the Eiffel Tower, riding on the back of a scooter along the Danube River and cruising across the Atlantic Ocean.

My passion for travel has blossomed into this website as my ongoing vacation ideas and travel advice have inspired friends to plan their travel adventures with the realization that amazing trips are possible with enough information and good travel planning.
It is my desire to share with you my vacation ideas and provide you with travel reviews of places that I have discovered and learned from my travel adventures:

  • You will see many travel photos that will stimulate your senses and imagination to help you decide on a destination.
  • Learn how to plan your own trip, design your itinerary and book your hotels.
  • Receive travel information and advice on health & personal safety, travel insurance, currency, use of ATMs and internet cafes.
  • I will provide you with packing ideas, travel clothes and travel checklist.
  • Discover ideas for traveling solo or planning a trip for a group.
  • Choosing transportation methods, auto rentals, buses, boats, trains or planes, or when necessary between taxi and public transport.
  • Learn how to overcome the fear of flying.

Personal Experiences Inspired the Great Vacations Travel Guide

I have traveled to many enchanting destinations including the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada and Europe.

I have walked around the world’s most romantic cities, such as London, New York, Paris, Rome, and Venice.

Bathed in the sun-kissed coasts of the Caribbean Islands, the Mayan Riviera, the French Riviera, the Italian Riviera and Amalfi Coast.

Enjoyed fabulous walks and romantic dinners along famous rivers like the Thames in London, the Seine in Paris, the Grand Canal in Venice and the Vltava in Prague.

Explored the mountains and stunning views in Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper, Canada.

Lodged in the village of Chamonix, France and ascended the gondola up to Mont Blanc.

Trekked around the beautiful Lauterbrunen Valley in Switzerland and up to the mountain peak called Piz Gloria on Mount Schilthorn, where the James Bond movie Her Majesty’s Secret Service had been filmed.

Journeyed by the local railway across the valley to the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains, which appear on the cover of many Swiss chocolates.

And so much more…which I will continue adding to my web site.

With my vacation ideas in the Great Vacations travel guide it is my sincere pleasure to accompany you on your path of discovery whether you are traveling solo, or with a partner or a group, and to provide you with all the travel information and advice that you need to make your dreams a reality.

I will constantly be updating and adding new articles and featuring my friends and their fabulous vacation ideas around the world including Asia and India. Do visit every so often to read the latest news and bookmark this site to share with your friends.

The world is more beautiful than you have ever imagined and life is an adventure. I am thrilled to be able to share my Vacation Ideas and travel reviews with you.
